Player Locator

A new interface element that shows the direction to other players.

  • Enabled through Experiments.
  • Replaces the experience bar, but the player's level is still displayed.
  • Displays player indicators within a 120° field of view.
  • If there is a significant height difference, arrows pointing up or down are shown.
  • Crouching, invisibility potions, pumpkin, or mob head — hide the player from the locator.
  • In Spectator Mode, players are only visible to other spectators.
  • When the feature exits experiments, it will be possible to enable/disable it manually.
  • Now correctly displays players regardless of simulation distance.
  • Spectator points are visible to other spectators.

  • The color of sheep depends on the biome where they spawn. The chance to find a sheep of a specific color varies by biome type:

      • Uncommon: Black sheep, Brown sheep, Gray sheep, Light Gray sheep
      • Rare: Pink sheep
    • Cold Biomes:
      • Common: Black sheep

Spawn Eggs

Spawn eggs have received a completely new design that highlights the characteristics and nature of each creature.

  • Each egg is now unique and visually reflects the appearance and individuality of the mob it summons.
  • The shape of the egg depends on the size of the creature: smaller mobs have more compact eggs, while larger ones are bigger.
  • Thanks to these changes, the eggs have become more recognizable and easier to use!

When Will Minecraft 1.22 Be Released?

Will the "Summer Drop" be the transition to 1.22? There is no official information yet, but without this, the version numbering will become more chaotic.

If everything goes according to plan, the "Summer Drop" will become the final part that ties all changes into a single version — 1.22. The release is scheduled for late 2025.
